SIMS for Primary School Senior Leadership Teams
Date: 29/11/16
Time: Sessions available at: 8.45am-10.45am, 11.15am – 1.15pm, 3.30pm – 5.30pm Venue: 3BM
Course Description: Members of SLT will learn how they can use SIMS to assist with OFSTED inspections and reports for School Leaders, Parents and Governors, including: recording and analysing behaviour incidents and/or achievements for pupils across the school; generating individual pupil reports for review/parent meetings; analysing school attendance, identifying trends and comparing pastoral groups and recording and analysing pupil assessment and tracking progress.

Course Description: This course is for new Attendance Officers, and experienced Attendance Officers who need a refresher on all of the functionalities. Also suitable for teaching staff or Pastoral Leaders who monitor lesson attendance.

Advanced Reporting
Date: 8/12/16 Time: 9.15am – 3.30pm Venue: 3BM
Course Description: Delegates should be familiar with the day to day use of SIMS and understand the range of data which is stored within SIMS. Delegates will have attended the SIMS Reporting – Introduction course or have a good understanding of the SIMS Reporting programme. Remote access to your school’s data is only available if you buy support from 3BM. Delegates should have a clear idea of the reports they would like to create. Reports created during the training can be exported for you to take back to school.

Hugely Helpful Hints for Savvy SIMS Users

Course Description: A short, fun and interactive course to demonstrate some quick ways of doing regular tasks in SIMS.net. Experienced users may learn some new tricks here.

Workshops require 3BM to have remote access to schools’ own data and are therefore only available to schools which have already signed up to 3BM SIMS support. (The Nova Workshop is an exception as delegates must bring along their school timetable on an external storage device.)

Course Description: Following this workshop, the majority of your pupil addresses will be validated against the Ordnance Survey database to generate the UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number). Schools are required to include the UPRN for pupil addresses from the Autumn 2016 Census (although voluntary until 2017). It is suitable for Admin Staff from all types of school who are responsible for pupil data and/or School Census. You will work on your own school data via a remote connection to complete the SIMS Bulk Address Validation routines, with staff on hand to assist and answer questions.
